Haul Of Anger

Okay..let me ask you ...do you haul when there are extreme of emotions ?? I have this strong urge to haul when I experience the extreme emotions, mostly when I am angry.
So, one of these days when I was in rage, Crush Cosmetics was having 20% off WetnWild and my poor credit card took the hit.

Let go through the haul. First up is Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette. I won't say much about this, just one word 'Amazing'. Shade selection is great and pigmentation is awesome. If you are going for a short trip, I think this is all you need in terms of eyeshadow. Perfect.

Swatches : Left Column (Top to Bottom)
Swatches : Right Column ( Top to Bottom)
Next is ELF Cream eyeshadow.Lets talk about the packaging. ELF, why waste so much on extra bulky packaging ? Please use that funds to get more shades in the collection.
I have yet to use them as products so I comment much about how they perform.
ELF Cream Eyeshadow: Dawn
Swatch : Dawn

Next is ELF Cream Eyeshadow in Eggplant. Now, readers please tell, is it just me or even you think that ELF team got the name of this color completely wrong. I mean, where is eggplant in this shade ?? Its looks more like a bronze brown color.I was disappointed when I saw this, since I was looking forward to using an eggplant color.

ELF Cream Eyeshadow : Eggplant
Swatch : Eggplant
And finally, I got Wet n Wild gel eyeliner in Eggplant ( Yes, I know there is lot of eggplant in this post). This was a complete downer. The brush is totally useless and the pigmentation in liner is extremely poor. Not at all happy. Its hard to believe that same company can have a total winner in a product and then have this.

So, the question is still there,do you haul when you are angry ??

NOTD / Review : Priti NYC China Pink Tulip

What the Company Says :

Priti NYC Nail Polishes have an organic formula, free from toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DHB) and formaldehyde and do not contain any petroleum ingredients or camphor. These polishes are fast drying, chip resistant, and super glossy, plus they're completely safe for use on children and pregnant women

Color

It has over 138 shades ranging from nudes to intensely colored nail paints.
I wore China Pink Tulip which is fuschia leaning more towards magenta.

Performance

It dried to glossy finish and lasted without any chipping for 3 days. Seriously there was no chipping, I had to take it off only because I wanted to wear something new. All I could see after 3 days was small fading at the tips, that's about it.

What I liked about it :
  • The fact that its 3 free
  • The extensive color range
  • The application is like walk in park, 2 coats to opacity and no streaking.
  • The glossy finish of the nail paint
  • Last but not least that there was no chipping even after 3 days.

What I didn't like :

I tried hard to find any negatives, but couldn't find any. Its a winner

Would I Recommend It : Definitely , yes. I can't wait to try more products from this range.

Review : Kink Nail Paint

What Company website says

For a popping pedi or an on-trend mani, Kink’s vibrant range of Nail Polishes cannot be beaten. Coming in a 10ml bottle, this streak-free formula resists chipping, is free from toluene, formaldehyde and di butyl phthalate, and is available in 16 colours ranging from creamy pinks to vibrant corals and vampy darks.

Packaging

Its quite standard nail paint packaging

Color

Even though there are only 16 colors, the range is quite varied from work safe ‘Nearly Nude’ to fun loving ‘Showgirl’ or ‘Hot Hot Hot’.

I tried 2 nail paint from this range

  • Hot Hot Hot
Its hot pink color which surprisingly suits me alot. A perfect color for Fridays.

  • Peachy
As the name suggests it a pleasant peach color. It sits somewhere peach and bright coral,
which  made me gravitate towards this shade. A work safe color when you don’t want to
              wear boring nudes.
I loved ‘Peachy’ so much that the first thought as I applied it was “I need to get a backup for this”

Performance

Its a breeze to apply with no streak marks or visible brush strokes. I wore this with Cutex Base Coat and observed wearing at the tips very next day. Now, this was a let down for such a fantastic performing color. It might perform better with a top coat, but I can’t find mine in all this business of moving house.

What I like about it
  • Varied Color Range
  • Ease to apply
  • An last but not least price. In Coles it retails at $5AUD each with all time offer of 3 for price of 2.
What I don’t like
I just wished that it lasted a bit more long nails
.
Would I recommend it :  Oh yes!! A definite range to try especially when you can sneak it into grocery basket.

Availability : Coles
Price : $5AUD each with all time offer of 3 for price of 2

Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadows

Today, I am going to share with you my recently bought Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadows. Since they are not available in Australia, I got them off eBay for $7.99AUD each.

Packaging :
It comes with a clear case cover and set of brush & sponge applicator. The packaging is very flimsy and I don't see myself using either the sponge or the brush.
Cool As A Cucumber

I 'm Feeling Retro
I Got Good Jeans

Color :
Now, this is the fun part. I picked colors which didn't exist in my stash.
I swatched them without any base and I am quite impressed with the color payoff

Cool As A Cucumber

I 'm Feeling Retro

I am yet to wear them out, so I can't comment on their staying power but my first impressions are really  good about these palettes. You can definitely not go wrong with the price they are for.

MAC Surf Baby : Mocha

MAC repromoted Mocha lipstick from its Mickey Contractor Collection. Since I had missed out on the MC collection, I decided to get it from this release.

Finish : Satin

Color : Its a medium dark brown with a tones of red. Its a beautiful shade which would complement any olive tonned beauty.

Pigmentation : Having Satin finish means that the color payoff is great, one swipe is all you need to get the color.

Now, to what I didn't like about this lipstick. In fact its not about this lipstick its about the Satin Finish in MAC as such. Oh MAC !! why should you have just timeless colors in ever drying, line enhancing finish/formulation. First Twig now Mocha...no no its not fair...

If only this lipstick was not drying( my husband said "Lines on your lips are looking so obvious") it was a complete winner.

Would I recommend it : Yes because of color. A lip primer can take care of the lines and a gloss would handle the dryness.

I have compared the swatch with Face of Australia Mineral Shine Lipstick, First Kiss in below picture.I wouldn't say they are similar but First Kiss with a reddish brown lipliner might work the trick

MAC Eye Kohl in Teddy

With MAC releasing so many collection one hardly gets a chance to look at their permanent collection. So, while browsing through MAC counter in Chadstone, I came across this little gem,an eye kohl in dark chocolate brown .

Its a basic dark brown eyeliner , which stays put when applied on upper lash line. Its very creamy in texture which means no dragging or pulling of eyelid while applying it.

An easy option when I want to do no fuss eye look.

Swatch : Lancome Mercier Blush Subtil Rose Sable 02

Lancome Mercier Blush Subtil Rose Sable 02 was another star in my Strawberrynet haul.

Its a very nice dusty rose color which would suit olive complexion alot. Its a powder blush with loads of pigmentation and very easy to blend.

NOTD : Nicole By OPI

Doesn't it feel great when you finally get the color you have been looking for so long.
I always wanted a bronze/rust color nailpaint and in attempt to get the perfect color I have accumulated quite a few of them.

And all of them have the same problems either they streak or the color makes my hands look old and tired...unlike the polished look I am after.

Few days ago, I had gone to Chemist to pick some necessary supplies when I notice this bronzey rusty nail paint by Nicole By OPI .
I immediately decided to buy it but I was fearing that it would be like many others..hope of falling in love but not even a relation formed.

Anyways I bought it ...and my my...I was in for a pleasant surprise...It was what I was after.

What I like about it :

-> Color. Perfect mix of bronze and rust with nice undertone of red
-> Formula. It applies like a dream , not a single streak
-> Dries amazingly fast with no smudge marks. This is essential for someone who wants to change her nail paint everyday.
-> Wear. There was no chipping after 4 days of wear.

What I didn't like about it:

-> Nothing

Girls/Ladies...please try this brand...I know I am going to get more from this range.

Disclaimer : I am not affliated to this brand.I just fell in love and wanted to share with everyone.
