Revlon Matte Eyeshadow in Rich Sable

I had used Revlon eyeshadow in my one eyeshadow smokey look

Colour : Dark Brown
Finish : Matte







Left : Swatch without base
Right : Swatch with MAC Painterly as base

What I like about it :

-> Very easy to use colour
-> Blends very easily
-> Being matte its perfect for crease colour

What I didn't like about it :

-> Nothing !!!

I don't know the full price as I got in in $4 AUD from the bargain bin in Priceline.

One EyeShadow Smokey Look

I had tried this look when I wanted to take the easy shortcut in achieving a smokey look.

Products Used :
-> Revlon eyeshadow
-> Bobbi Brown Beige Shimmerbrick
-> Himalaya Kajal




All I did was line my eyes with Kajal and then smudge it using the eyeshadow. After that I layered the eyeshadow on the outer 2/3rd upper lid and the light beige strip from the shimmer brick in the inner corner.
Then, I again lined my eyes with Kajal and mascara.

Bobbi Brown Tulle

Don't you feel great when you rediscover a hidden gem. On Saturday, I rediscovered Bobbi Brown Tulle lipstick.
I was wearing this combination on a nice sunny day. Loved it so much that I can't wait to repeat it !!!

Products Used :

Bobbi Brown Tulle Lipstick ( I don't remember the price but its permanent)
Sally Hansen gloss ( this was a freebie)

Note : My lips are quite pigmented

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine

I love Chanel !!! Their products are awesome.
Last month, while walking past Chanel Boutique in Chadstone, I noticed some new lipsticks had been launched.It was Chanel Rouge Coco Shine. Even before I realised, I was in store swatching the lipsticks.

It was love at first swatch. I got Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Biarritz.
Since then I have been wearing them regularly and infact got more shades from this range

What I like about it :

-> Color range. It has nice selection of color and I will definitely go back for more
-> Its very moisturising
-> Its lipstick with a gloss,so I can skip the step of applying gloss
-> In spite of glossy finish the pigmentation is real good
-> Very faint smell

What I didn't like :

-> The staying power. It hardly lasts for 2 hours, but then it never promised to be
a long lasting lipstick
-> Its price. If only it was little less expensive

It retails at $50 AUD

Face Of Australia :LUXE Summer Spice

What does a girl do, when she needs little pick me up...she goes to the local drugstore and buys the much sought after nail colour.

So, with this thought I headed to local Priceline to get my hands on Face Of Australia LUXE nail paints. But, being limited edition and so popular and yours truly being so late to the party, there was none left :-((

Suddenly I became a girl with mission, mission to acquire if not all at least 1 nail paint from the much loved collection.

And after scouring many stores, I got my hands on this beauty. The Face Of Australia LUXE nail paint in Summer Spice




Please excuse the shoddy application, I couldn't wait to clean up before taking the pics.

My experience with it : I think the praise is much deserved.

What I liked about it :

-> The formula is oh so smooth and so easy to apply
-> 2 coats and I got perfect application without any baldy patches
-> It dries super quick
-> Color is so bright and perfect pick me up

What I didn't like about it :

-> With something so good, this should be made part of permanent line

It retails at $4.95 AUD at Priceline.

P.S : And no I didn't break my no spend challenge, I used a gift voucher !!

YSL Creme De Blush has been released as part of YSL Spring 2011 collection. I bought the number 2. This shade is a very soft pink adding just the right amount of flush to the cheek

My experience with it : I absolutely love it. I have lost the count of number of bottles I have used up. Infact I have given this to my family members as well and everyone loves it. Now lets get in the nitty gritty of the product

What I like about it :

-> It takes of the eye makeup even the water proof mascara
-> Doesn't dry the eye area
-> It suits my sensitive skin
-> Its not very expensive and a good, cheap alternative to Lancome BiFacil ( which is another fantastic eye makeup remover)

What I don't like about it :

-> It stings the eye
-> Leaves an oily film even though it says to be oil free

I love this so much that I already have a back up.
For anyone who loves doing eye makeup this is a great eye makeup remover

No Spend Challenge

After months of shopping binge, I have decided to go on another No Spend Challenge starting as of today.

Rules are same
-> Items bought only if I finish it
-> Only absolute necessary things will be bought
-> Can buy gifts for family and friends

Based on previous challenge, I know the first few days will be real tough.But I really want to take this up as a shopping detox ( I am completely making this term) and finish few items while I am on this challenge.

I am Back !!!

After a gap of more than a month, I am back.
