I love my blushes. I can't have enough of them. In my recent Sephora haul, I bought Make Up Forever MicroFinish Quickie Blush ( #6).

What I like about it :
  • Packaging. Nice neat way to apply from a pump
  • Ease of application. All you need is clean fingers to apply this. At least that's what I do.
  • Pigmentation. Little goes long way.
  • Color. Its a very pretty coral pink which is enough to freshen up any look.
What I didn't like about it:
  • Amount of product in one pump is way too much for single application.

Would I recommend it : Yes

Thanks to Jess for introducing me to this beauty

L'Occitane is brand generally associated with quality skincare products. I have used few items from their range and loved it.
If I am not wrong, L'Occitane ventured into releasing make up once every year , since last year. I had browsed the range and one thing which caught my eyes was the packaging. There was something charming about the cardboard packaging. I was also curious about what L'Occitane had to offer in makeup. So, when I saw the indigo-kir-royale haul post, I was tempted to try something from this range.

I initially wanted to get Petals Eye Quartet but I felt the colors didn't show so well on my NC 42 skin. But, this doesn't take away any points from the eyeshadow's texture, pigmentation ...if it shows up on you,  its really great for the price.

I got for myself Corail Quadrille Duo Eyeshadow.

What I like about it :
  • Packaging. The cardboard packaging won me straightaway. Not just that, they have a small ribbon under the brush/sponge applicator which can be used to pull out the applicator easily.
  • Pigmentation. The color in the palette is achieved in one - two swipes with an eye primer
  • Texture. Its quite smooth with minimum fall out.
  • Even though its shimmer eyeshadow, its not over the top and can be easily used for daytime look
  • And what I love the most is that, this duo is enough to create a daytime smokey look

What I didn't like about it :
Nothing till now.

Would I recommend it : Definitely, yes.

Availability : In store or online.
RRP : $ 26.95 AUD

Liptember and Me

Liptember is an initiative to raise funds and awareness about gender specific mental issues for women. As part of this , women are encouraged to buy and wear the 'Liptember' lippy in month of September and raise funds to be donated to Centre for Women's Mental Health and Lifeline Australia.

This year, the Liptember lippy is Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Hibiscus, a pretty coral color balm.
It can be bought from Myer and retails at $10 AUD.

I got mine from Myer last week and have been wearing it everyday, even though I am staying mostly at home.

  • Its a very pretty sheer coral color
  • Its very moisturising

Note : I have referred to official Liptember website for some of the information. Please head to www.liptember.com for more information

My Zuneta Order

What is a better way to cheer up and de-stress than some online shopping ?? So, when Sarah from Dempeaux tweeted about free shipping from Zuneta, I quickly jumped on the site. Now,being in Australia means that some of the international brands are not available here and we are left out from all the fun. This was a good opportunity to take a dip and try some new brands.

With useful recs from ever helpful Sarah, I ordered following
  • Rouge Bunny Rouge For Love of Roses Original Skin Blush in Orpheline

  • Edward Bess Compact Rouge for Lips and Cheeks in Island Rose

  • EOS Lipbalm
  • Rosebud Salve

I will try to do a post as I use them.

A note on the Zuneta service...they are awesome...I had placed my order on 27th August and received the package on 07th September. It was neatly packed with a sample of Rahua Hair Conditioner.

Did you get something from Zuneta ??
