Skincare : Dermalogica Precleanse

There is one fact about my skin which I learnt hard way : oil and my skin don’t agree. Last time I tried using Oil Cleansing Method(OCM) my skin reacted so badly that it looked as if an angry cat has scratched my face.
While getting my face mapped for first time at Dermalogica, I was suggested Precleanse but I didn’t have the courage to use it, not with the condition my skin was in. But, as it calmed down I tried to test waters again by introducing Dermalogica Precleanse in my skincare routine. And believe me, it was the best decision I took.

As mentioned on website
A lightweight Olive and Apricot Kernel-based cleansing oil, fortified with Kukui Nut, Borage Seed and Rice Bran oils, that gently liquefies sebum and oil-based debris from the skin’s surface. The hydrophilic (water-loving) formula enables PreCleanse and oil-based debris to be readily rinsed away without leaving behind any greasy residue. Follow with prescribed Dermalogica Cleanser for a thorough double cleansing. Contains no artificial fragrance or color.

How I Use It:
With this introduced in my skincare regime, I don’t use separate eye makeup remover.
I just take about 20cents size amount in my palm and gently apply it across my eyes to dissolve the makeup. And then I use any remaining amount to gently massage on my cheeks and nose to remove any residual makeup.
Then I take small amount of lukewarm water in my palm, massage it all over my face and wash with plain water which removes all makeup. (When mixed with water it turns in a milky color liquid)
Thereafter, I use my cleanser to double cleanse.

What I think about it:
  •    It loved my skin.
  •   Restored the oil balance in my skin which meant no more dry patches.
  •   Removes makeup really well
  •   Saved me additional step of using eye makeup remover
  •   Added benefit, minimizing blackheads on my nose.

Would I recommend it:
Definitely. If you haven’t tried it, get a sample and give it a try
